Air quality in offices has become an increasingly important concern in recent years, as studies have shown that poor indoor air quality can have significant negative impacts on occupants' health, well-being, and productivity.

The Problem

Factors such as inadequate ventilation, temperature and humidity, high levels of particulate matter and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can contribute to a range of health problems, including respiratory problems, allergies and cognitive impairment. It is essential to find effective and easy-to-use solutions to monitor and manage air quality in office environments.

The Voice Assistants Revolution

Recent advances in voice assistant technology, such as Amazon's Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple's Siri, have opened up new possibilities in the way users interact with various systems and devices. By integrating voice assistants into air quality monitoring systems, it is possible to create a more accessible and efficient way to monitor and manage air quality in offices.

Our Innovative System

With the newly developed cloud architecture, we were able to integrate sensors from different vendors and set up a voice alert system for air quality based on key parameters such as temperature, humidity, CO, CO2, VOC, and particulate matter. This system allows users to receive real-time information about the air quality in their offices by simply using voice commands.

The Benefits for Users

The effectiveness of the proposed system in improving office air quality and user satisfaction is currently being evaluated, with our first experiment conducted at the IRS. Early feedback and survey results show that integrating voice assistant technology into air quality control systems can significantly improve the user experience and contribute to a healthier, more comfortable and productive office environment.

Expanding the Possibilities

We are continuously trying to improve and expand our system. Currently, we are experimenting with integrating other ways for users to view data, particularly augmented reality screens. This will allow users to visualize air quality data in an intuitive and engaging way, providing additional information and tools for making informed decisions about the indoor environment.
