It aims to facilitate the transition from the human-machine interaction of Industry 4.0 to that of Industry 5.0, which is more collaborative and human-centered. It introduces cyber-physical systems, mobile/wearable technologies and intuitive interfaces based on touch and voice commands, supported by artificial intelligence where needed. The application case concerns an Electrolux R&D laboratory, where intelligent testing workstations were developed. The results obtained are scalable and applicable to other laboratories and workstations in the manufacturing sector.
