On October 29, 2025, IRS Srl participated in the second edition of Virtualia – AI & Human-Centered Technologies, an event dedicated to research and innovation organized by Spoke 5 of the iNEST project – Northeast Innovation Ecosystem. The event took place in a particularly picturesque setting, within the groundsof the Botanical Garden and the Biodiversity Garden at the University of Padua, bringing together researchers, businesses, students, professionals, and members of the public interested in the new frontiers of technology.
Virtualia serves as a forum where scientific research, technological innovation, and collaboration among different organizations come together to explore the potential of emerging technologies. The 2025 edition focuses on topics that are set to have an ever-greater impact on society and the industrial world, including Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between technology and people.
The concept of Human-Centered Technology is based on the idea that innovation should not be developed solely on the basis of the possibilities offered by technology, but must also take into account the needs, abilities, and experiences of the people who will use these solutions. The goal is to create technological systems capable of supporting human beings by improving processes, activities, and the quality of the experience.
For IRS Srl, participating in Virtualia was an important opportunity to share with the public and the research community two innovation projects developed through collaboration between companies and research centers. These projects demonstrate the importance of forging connections between the industrial and academic worlds to transform ideas and research findings into practical applications.
